Installation is easy Assembly instructions STEP 1: Place Trim, Reflector, Battery backup unit and housing on an even surface. Thread housing onto trim until it fastens. STEP 2: Attach indicator and test button on the trim by fastening two nuts (provided). Attach the battery backup unit onto housing by locking springs on its side. STEP 4: Insert the red connector from trim with indicator to slot on battery backup until labeled ‘ INDICATOR .’ Insert the red connector from trim with test button to slot on battery backup unit labeled ‘ TEST .’ STEP 3: ‘Click’ the orange wire connector from housing to Battery backup unit in slot on right top corner. 1. Put together in orange connector the “Switched Line” and the “Continuous Line Power” from the battery backup to one side of orange connector, then put together the “Neutral” white wire from the battery backup to second side of orange. Screw wire nut (provided) over the “Continuous Line Power” and connect with the black main power cable coming from the 6" recessed can. Make sure you get the right main cable from the can, then connect with our “Continuous Line Power” cable with wire nut. 2.
